We come now to the sixth day of creation, the pinnacle of God’s creative work. The stage has been set, the lights have been hung in the firmament above, the pantry has been stocked with every green plant yielding seed, and now God is about to reveal the creation He chose to be His image bearers . But in our modern world, we have a problem, a catastrophic one. We have suppressed the truth in unrighteousness that we were created by God for His purposes. And most tragically of all, we have suppressed the truth of who God is. Our secularist culture is desperately trying to define man apart from God, and the results are as grotesque as they are predictable. They tell us that we are nothing more than evolved animals, the accidental byproduct of primordial ooze and millions of years of random mutations.
