We come now to the story of Joseph, which is one of the great novellas of the ancient world. It is a hinge point in the history of redemption. The story of Joseph is the story of how God, in His inscrutable and perfect providence, can take a bucket of familial sin, dysfunction, jealousy, and arrogance, and use it to paint a masterpiece of deliverance.
